Sonda echoes the word sonder - the understanding that every person carries a story as rich and complex as our own

This principle guides how we design.
With empathy, curiosity, and a belief that spaces should support the lives unfolding within them.

People experience space differently.
We think, feel, and process the world in our own way.
When environments don’t reflect that reality, people are left to adapt themselves instead.

That understanding shapes everything.
Designing with people, not for them.

Our focus is on creating sensory-aware, inclusive environments that recognise people need different conditions to thrive. Using a neuro-informed approach to workplace design, environments are shaped to reduce cognitive and sensory load and support how the brain actually works.

When spaces support people, mental load drops.
Clarity increases.
And people are better able to focus, connect, and do their best work.

Designed this way, the workplace becomes a performance tool - because it’s designed around people, not despite them.

We design in layers.
Considering the senses.
Creating choice.
And offering a range of environments so people can work in ways that suit them best - without having to explain or justify their needs.

Hi, I’m Ariane, founder of Sonda Studio

I founded Sonda from my experience both as a workplace designer and as someone who has spent years working within offices myself. I’ve seen first-hand how environments can either support people — or quietly make work harder than it needs to be.

My approach sits at the intersection of strategy and creativity, shaped by a deep understanding of how space influences how we work, feel, and connect. I design by listening closely — to the people using the space, the culture of the business, and what the organisation is trying to achieve — then translating what matters into environments that feel considered, intuitive, and supportive.

I’m highly empathetic and deeply attuned to how environments affect people. That lived experience informs every project I lead and is the foundation of why Sonda Studio exists.
