Neuroplaces 2026

Every person experiences the world differently. What helps one person feel calm, focused or restored may leave another feeling overwhelmed or distracted. The Reset Lounge has been designed to help people notice how different environments affect them, encouraging curiosity, reflection and a greater understanding of their own sensory preferences.

Traditional exhibitions are stimulating by design. Bright lighting, constant noise, crowded walkways and continuous visual information demand attention and energy. The brief was to create a space where people could relax away from the busy exhibition.

Rather than creating one environment intended to be relaxing for everyone, we design includes a series of different sensory experiences, inviting people to explore what they’re drawn to and how each one makes them feel. The Reset Lounge has been designed to help visitors become aware of their own sensory preferences through experience rather than explanation. We believe that understanding people is the foundation of neuroinclusive design. Greater understanding leads to more meaningful conversations, more informed design decisions, and ultimately, environments where more people can thrive.

The Journey

Visitors are invited to move freely between four different spaces, each offering a unique sensory experience. There is no prescribed route and no right or wrong way to explore. Instead, the journey encourages curiosity, observation and self-discovery.

As you move through the lounge, notice what draws you in, what helps you feel calm, focused or restored, and which environments you naturally return to. These responses are unique to you and offer an opportunity to better understand your own sensory preferences.

Understanding ourselves and recognising that what supports one person may not support another is key is creating more inclusive spaces.

Notice

The more aware we become of how our environments affect us, the easier it becomes to communicate what we need from the spaces around us. That understanding leads to better conversations, better design decisions and, ultimately, environments where more people can thrive.

Neuroplaces is the UK’s first B2B exhibition and conference dedicated to neuroinclusive and accessible design. Taking place as part of London Design Festival, it brings together designers, architects, workplaces, public venues and solution providers to explore how our environments can better support neurodivergent and disabled people.

The event is about bringing the industry together, sharing ideas, products and services, and helping turn conversations around inclusion into real-world change.
